Hello to all, I signed up a couple days ago and have been researching the Mini for a while now especially in NAM. My fiancée and I are looking into getting a Camden MCS sometime this year to replace her '02 Civic. We are really excited to get the car, we already went to take a test drive and all, but we want to wait a bit before we order to make sure we get the new engine.
Happy Motoring everyone!!

Hello,

My wife and I purchased our 09 Cooper S spring of last year. I can't say I had ever thought of buying one but my wife thought they were cute which got me into the dealership and the acceleration of the S sold me. So far the experience has been a blast. I hope it stays that way!

Thanks for the reply dimosk!
I'll attempt to locate the TSB area on this site
or elsewhere. Thanks again.
Best,

Question: I've ordered a new vanity plate for my Mini and would like to change my username to reflect it. Is there a way to do that without having to re-register?

Also, how the heck to I get sweet pictures reflecting my Mini (displaying color, model, accessories) like all you veterans have?

Looks like I answered my own question... I was able to put in my Mini pic with my signature and finally read the "welcome to NAM" message I've had sitting in my mailbox for 6 months. Silly me

Hi All,

Very interested in Minis, on a budget, looking for an S with a stick that needs body or engine work; a green one ideally =) I'm in the Ventura CA area. I've heard that '05 & '06 are the best years to get, would appreciate any info or advice anyone could give. =)

Thanks,

Buying my first Mini, an '05...anyone know of a bud vase?

Hi all,

After a couple years of drooling, I'm buying my first Mini, an '05 Mini Cooper S with a few mods to it. I can't wait to start driving it and participating in NAM! I am a 60-something grandfather and this is my first-ever high performance car. I'll try to not get too many speeding tickets.

One question: my wife is still enchanted by the memory of a bud vase her grandfater always had in his car, many moons ago. I'd like to surprise her with something like that in this car, and after a fruitless web search, am concluding I'll just have to find a bud vase that'll fit in the console cup holder (which I've read is lacking in its intended purpose so may work to hold a small bud vase).

Unless anyone knows of such an accessory on the market??

Thanks.

Mini Owner anxious to be a Mini Driver

Six weeks ago I decided my next car would be a Mini Cab. I picked up my 2010 Pepper White Mini ragtop in Annapolis two weeks ago. Dropped it off at a place in Southern Maryland as there is no place yet to park it at home in Virginia. Returned to Virginia before the snow and got to shovel a very long drive before flying to the west coast for the week and after that it took a few days to get home due to the second snow which shut down the Airports in DC area. Then the blizzard and then Washington shutdown tight.
So here it is two weeks later and I have put only the 60 miles from the drive from Annapolis on the Mini and will get back to it after two long weeks. Oh, I parked it under a tree that dropped a limb on it during the blizzard. Folks say it is fine but need to see it myself.
I have been handling anxiety by hunting for stuff about Minis online and and that brought me to NAM and here I am.
Looking forward to the experience

Mini Owner anxious to be a Mini Driver

Well, Mini's don't get hurt by no stinkin tree limbs. Checked it out real good and only found a small bark scrape that can be polished out. Unfortunately had to leave it in MD till I sell my old car when the weather breaks. Most people (me excluded) aren't thinking about ragtops while snow is still threatening. I will be there again this weekend though.
