New mini owner from North central Ct.

Hi all bought our first MINI. 2008 Clubman S 40,000 miles. Did the research AFTER buying it, hope I didn't step in it! As they say sex sells lol. Wife was wanting a Hummer, so I like this better. We are from north central Ct. Hope to be able to talk to others from Ct and maybe swap stories.

Welcome to NAM, Walt! Good choice over the Hummer. Post up some pictures of your Clubman for us.

Welcome Walt. Fellow Ct resident here. Although these cars don't leave a lot of room to play with they are fairly simple to work on once you understand them. I have saved myself a lot of time and money on these forums.

Thanks Way and Pelican, apparently I'll be in touch with you and others lol. Jakomcbean, good to hear from fellow nutmeggers. I see the engine compartment is fairly tight, I haven't had time yet to look around much, but plan on doing a lot of the maintenance myself. Joined here to get as much info as possible. I was a diesel mechanic (it's now a tech lol) most of my career, basically the same except the engines are about 3' longer.

Hi Doc and greetings from Eastern CT!

I just recently purchased a Countryman myself and LOVE it!

Look up Nutmeg Miniacs on Facebook and join the group. They plan monthly outings in CT as a way to share our love for MINI with other locals.

Are you an MD by chance? My girlfriend is also a local physician.

Looking forward to seeing you on the road!

Not a MD. A Diesel Doctor. Diesel tech, Dieseldoctor has been my "handle" for a long time. Same idea but my paitents do not complain as much . Tools are cheaper, diagnostics may be eaiser too.
