new guy question

Buy a new 2015 cooper four door hard top. Or

2012 countryman s w 12k miles

I have a friend w a mini saying go w new car as the 2015 is much better and the old turbos are no good.

Is the 2015 an S? I don't know much about these two cars but every non "S" I've drivin is a turd. Ok in the city, that's about it.

In all honesty! You need to drive both , to see what you are comfortable with. Some are happy with the non s and some are not, that is up to you.

I like them both. Wondering if there is an inherant problem w the turbo on older models

Once you start tuning, the stock turbo is only good for about 19psi. Tuning doesn't seem to be your thing. That just leaves you with the turbo oil feed line possibly leaking. A new/better line is about $100, Detroittuned.com sells them.

If you keep fresh oil at 5k mile intervals, the motor in the R56 should be good. You'll save a bunch of money over the F and have a better looking car. I think the F will be better overall quality. As was said above, drive 'em both!

+1 on drive them both... try living with each one for a day or two to see how it fits in and feels.

Motor on!
