Hello all. New MINI owner here, took delivery of my pre-owned 2011 Cooper S just eight days ago. I come from the world of the MX-5 Miata, which has been passed on to my sons, so I'm looking forward to learning about the new ride.
Things aren't so sunny any more! Car has been parked all day, and there is a plate-sized puddle of what appears to be coolant (blue-green liquid) under the front end, just to the right of the center (from the driver's seat).
Service appointment made for Monday to have it diagnosed.
If this is my welcome to the world of MINI, it is not what I was looking for.

Wow, that sucks. I hope this is the last issue you have for a long time.
Is the Blue/Green fluid by chance a motor mount leaking or is it AntiFreeze? I had a similar puddle and found it was oily rather than antifreeze which was upper motormount
Kudos to Orlando MINI. Techs replaced the water pump, and the oil filter housing gasket, free of charge under warranty. They also detailed the car for me. That is the way to keep my business! I'm a happy camper!
