My cat is missing a leg
Howdy y'all!
This is my first Mini. This is the 5th vehicle I have had this year, and I am hoping to end the process of swapping vehicles. I have always been an avid motorcyclist. That is, until my '00 Ninja ZX-9R pooped out on me in January. I decided that it was time to stop having crappy vehicles that I have to force to work and turn into money pits. So I went and bought my dream car, a Honda S2000.
It was heaven on Earth for a few months, until August, when it was stolen. I then purchased a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the hopes of possibly picking up mudding or rock climbing as a hobby as opposed to mountain driving. But that thing was full of issues, I had her for all of 3 weeks. Decided to go back with my original plan of owning a two seater mountain car. Cue the '90 MX-5. Small, light, cheap, and a blast to drive. Again, not without its quirks. I realized that if I need a car to commute 300 miles a week, and be able to get some spirited driving in, a car with 250k of questionable miles was not the car, and the road noise was unbearable.
Two weeks ago, I picked up my first Mini.
2006 Mini Cooper S
117k miles
PO was the only owner of the Mini.
He took it to a single dealership where all service was done, and I now have all of those records. This baby is immaculate. The passenger and rear seats look like they have never been used. I am ecstatic.
There used to be an active club in the area, but after communicating with them, it seems that they are no longer as active as they used to be. If anyone happens to be in the Fairfield, Davis, Dixon, Sacramento area that is interested in some comradery, please PM me.
