What's up? Just picked a r52 mcs. Not ur average mini!

What's going on everybody?
My name is Alex but my friends call me Aspo.
Just picked my first mini s r52 platform a few days ago.
This is my second German/European Made car, first being a mk3 jetta and I hope to enjoy this mini to its full potential.
I'm more of a Japanese car type of guy with my last 3 cars being nissans so I hope I can experience something different this time around.
I got a lot of plans for this car and already got a hamman style replica lip on the way also waiting on the wheels to get sent away for powder coat to get redone in purple .
First major modification is a custom 2.5" header back exhaust to a n1 style muffler angled to the side. I like to be one of a kind and unique when it comes to modding my cars so Plans after that is suspension work and more extensive engine work either such as adding a aftermarket supercharger and doing a full engine rebuilt with tougher internals.

Anyway here's the car
Hope u guys enjoy.

Here's the day I got it.

Getting my exhaust done.
Wanted something one of a kind.

Got my tailights tinted.

Enjoy

One thing I'm not getting here. It appears the sun is shining, shadows and brightness, so, why is the top up?
If you are planning a lot of open road topless motoring start looking now for a wind deflector, eBay is usually your best bet. Also go to Way Motor Works and get a 'Light-in-Sight so you can see overhead traffic lights without having to lean over.
And don't forget, MINI people wave.

Just in case you don't know, those 2 cylinders coming through the rear bumper are for the MINI sport link attachments.

Welcome,
Looks like you need new rear trim pieces for the belt line trim. They are about $120 each unfortunately and a pretty common fail item.
Be sure to lube all your top hinges and latching mechanisms. It will open more smoothly and last longer.
Purple wheels????

+1 those are the sport link, you can still get the bike link through MINI. If you need it.

Looks like this :

Rear trim on the belt line is located here, we have it in the hardware kit, and without the hardware dependent on how bad the screws and such are.
