Hello there people. I just purchased a new (to me) 2006 MINI Cooper S. I instantly fell in love with this car when i saw it for sale, as I have always had a bit of a 'soft spot' for MINI's in general. This thing is a BLAST to drive, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase so far. I purchased the extended warranty when buying it, because this car already has a few performance mods to it and I needed that little bit of extra assurance in case anything went wrong with it.

Anyways here's a few pics I snapped with my cellphone and tried making them look fancy through Instagram.

Good looking motor. It is obvious it has been moded, the R53S badge is a dead giveaway. With diligent care it will give you miles of great driving adventures, many will say that the '06 version is about the most solid.

You know, I wasn't actually sure if that was stock or not, thought maybe mine was just one of the cool cars

The big badge on the center line makes it a cool car by default.

HAH! I couldn't agree more.

BTW, can anyone tell me what the stock boost output is in this car?

The '06 R53 is supercharged, not turbo'd. I would not be surprised if the previous owner didn't put a xx% pully on that puppy if it has been performance moded. If so, there is no telling what the increase is but it's there. Enjoy that SC whine. If you are not familiar with the SC, you will notice, especially in the heat of summer, intercooler heat soak. After sitting at a stop light for a while you will pull away feeling sluggish, you'll add more throttle when suddenly the cold air kicks in and she'll take off like a scared rabbit.

Oh I know this isn't a turbocharged car, I LOVE the way the SC sounds on this puppy. My last car (01 Audi A4) had a turbo, and I never really liked the lag associated with it. This kind of kick is MUCH more enjoyable.
