Howdy! New DS/B MCS from the Bay Area

Hey guys,

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I've been reading this forum ever since my wife was waiting to pick up her SS/B MCS and have learned a LOT in about a month. I've learned so much about MINI's that I decided to get one of my own. I'm picking up the little racer tomorrow and can't wait! I already have a name picked out. I know that it's customary to give female names to cars, but as soon as I saw my car the name "Douglas" popped in my head for some reason. So "Doug E. MINI" is on his way home!

Welcome to another DS. They are nice!

Post some pictures of Douglas, not always girls names, my 07 scooter is not female.

Enjoy and drive on lots of fun drives.

Don

Thanks old81! I see you got the RMW tune. I've been checking out the Flash Tool Sign-up thread and have been contemplating about signing up...even before I even picked up my car! I'm just so excited about being part of the MINI community. Whoo hoo!

Yes, I have the helix and ddm cai and the RMW tune makes everything sing together.

Might switch to a DOS (Defenders of Speed) CAI after I change out my exhaust this week.

If your going to want power, keep it simple and do a tune.

DoS is always looking for 'Trusted Testers' for new parts. If the modding bug is nibbling at you, we have a few parts in the works (and do need Bay Area folks to try them out).

Anyhow, welcome to NAM!

Pics of Douglas

I finally got a few pics. It seems like there's not enough time during the day to drive. I may have to convert Douglas into a taxi just so I can drive him more.
