Ohhh, the suspense...

Hello everyone!
Just ordered my first brand new MCS from Herb Chambers Mini in Boston the other day. Can't wait to get my production number so I can track the progress. Ordered myself a laser blue MCS with white bonnet stripes, white roof, manual trans, premium, sport and CW packages, white crown spokes, and the pacific blue seats. I've wanted one forever and now it's so close!

Congrats! You'll be able to join MINIsOnTop this summer!

Why "Portland, OR" and ordering in New England?

While waiting may not be fun it makes the arrival of the new car all that much more fun. Patience, patience, patience and yet more patience!

We are currently living in Portland, OR but we are moving to Massachusetts in May (we are Mass natives). I ordered it now so hopefully it will be ready when we get there and we can sell our current car and not have to worry about moving it with us.

By the way, how long did it take to get a production number? It's only been a few days but feels like forever...It's going to be a long couple of months!

Well when I ordered my car I was lucky enough to find one with all my specs. Already built and waiting to be shipped. So I was able to get the product number right then and there. Im really sorry but I dont know how long it would take to get the product number. :( Has your dealer given you a time range as to when they might have that information?

They just said when the order goes through they'll send me the number. I tried to get a time range from them but they didn't know. I'm just impatient anyway!

lol. Thats alright. I was exactly the same way when I had to wait for my mini. It got to the point that I made my homepage Miniusa in order to get to the tracking page quicker. I would check it everyday. XD

I finally received my production number today! Unfortunately I'm at work and can't do anything with it just yet :-( This is becoming an obsession pretty quick, not that it hasn't been already!

I was all excited about having my production number finally, when I got home I go to the Mini Owner's Lounge and it tells me that the number should be 7 characters long. The number my MA sent me was only 6 digits! I sent him an e-mail real quick, so hopefully I get the correct number tomorrow.

try adding a zero to the end of your prod number?... this is what happened to me as well.

He forgot a 7 in the middle...I now have the correct number! The Owner's Lounge though says something different than what I ordered. I wonder if I took over one of the dealer's earlier production slots...

oh man, he was WAY off!

glad it got the correct number now. Thats what that usually means - I was told that it takes a few days for all your correct option selections to show up.
