So ordered my first MINI in '08 because was getting killed by gas prices in Germany while stationed in Kaiserslautern. I bought it because it looked nice and was great on gas, I fell in love with it because of the handling. This car has survived all kinds of things; daily commute to work with me pushing it at close to 200kph, to a drunk German running a red light and T-boning me at an intersection, to picking up soldiers from the MP station; and from bars so I don't have to pick them up from MP station. Got to say I loved car so much bought a used '04 MCS to see how much more I can fall in love with a modified one.
Well welcome back and hope you and the '04 MCS have a good time, glad you got all that 125 mph stuff out of your system because I know you will faithfully observe our USA speed limits!! As we all do!!

Lol Of course I will...... I think I might try and get on a track if I wanna go that fast again. But I truly will miss the Autobahn
Welcome back to the USA & thanks for your service over seas .
Gas prices are going up here also its getting close to summer time & gas prices are on the rise . Continue Go-kart driving here in the states. How was the Autobahn for driving ?

Let's just say me and one of my soldiers on the drive from Kaiserslautern to Frankfurt have called B.S. on MINI's supposed max speed 125MPH. He and me personally witnessed mine stock going 132mph. Granted I was going down a pretty steep hill but hey whatever you gotta do FTW.
From what i have learned the autobahn is a very nice HWY . Very well maintained hwy . I would guess because the german kids don't drive until a lot of trainning and they are older . I guess with the price of gas in Europe you see a lot of small cars & Coopers . We are spoiled in the USA driving big SUV's & trucks . Im glad i drive a cooper i fill up about once or twice a month to motor .

Thanks for your service, welcome home. The autobahn, outstanding highway drove it in the late 70's..
Probably just as much fun back then as it is now. Nothing like thinking 120mph is fast until a Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamborghini, or Ferrari blow your doors off and you realize that hey none of us were really speeding 130kph is just the recommended speed limit lol
Yes it was fun I just wish drivers here in the states would respect the rules of the road as well as they do in Germany, the left lane is for passing and when you see lights flash from someone a half mile behind you had better move over as they blow by at 130 MPH..
