Dayton, OH Mini Club?

Newly registered NAM member. I can't seem to nail down a good mini club to join in the Dayton, OH area. I see some in Cincinatti and Columbus. Anyone have a good group of people to hook up with for some random meets and greets and drives in the Dayton area?

If not, I am debating between Cincinatti and Columbus as I ended up purchasing my Mini from Columbus.

I take the silence as no one in the Dayton, OH area has created a Mini club. Okay, I'll check into either the Cincinnati one or one in Columbus.

I live in Dayton as well and I can't find a mini club out here. I have been toying with the idea of starting one up because I see so many minis

Another Daytonite here. Around town here I usually end up going to SWOV (http://www.swov.org) meets. Especially since I convinced one of the head guys to get a Mini. =)

It'd be fun to get together somewhere in town though. I've been meaning to make it up to one of the Columbus breakfasts, but it's a little earlier than i roll out of bed on Saturdays.

Yeah I normally go to one but it sucks cuz I'm the only mini there and I have the most expensive car there.

If any want I said we start a club or a branch off of a club for minis.

Any word on the Dayton, OH Mini Club??

Hey Everyone,

I'm a newbie to the forum and I just bought my MCS this past Saturday (1/22). Has anyone heard anything in regard to the Mini Cooper Club for Dayton, OH? I noticed there is a Mid-Ohio Mini Cooper Club but not one for Dayton. I'd be interested in it if there is one.

Thanks!

I'm in Cincy, and the local MINI group seems to be fairly active, haven't been able to make any events though.

The Mid-Ohio group seems like a fun bunch - driving 100 mi for donuts is a reach though. I may do it this summer though. They are online a lot on another mini forum if you're interested.

Heck isn't driving a MINI what it is all about? Whether it's for donuts or a nice Amish lunch or just to meander on Ohio's back roads. Come on over we'd all love to meet you.

Well, I'm up for anything in the Dayton/Columbus/Cinci area. I just want to meet other people with a Mini so I can see what they are doing with mods etc...

I'm going camping in August in Kentucky. I have to pull the camper with our Mountaineer but I'm having the wife follow in my Mini so I can play for 12 days Now that will be a lot of fun driving!

Hey Everyone,

So, I found another thread that is for a Dayton, OH MINI Club. One member suggested an informal meet and greet at a local restaurant. If you want to check out the thread it's at:

North American Motoring > Club and Regional Forums > United States :: Midwest > Midwest DAYTON OHIO!!!!!!!!!11

I'm going to reply back to his suggestion. We might as well not try to "reinvent the wheel" for a Dayton, OH MINI Club if there is already one started somewhere.

Hope to see all of you on the thread I just posted!

Hey Everyone!

So, I haven't given up on the Dayton, OH MINI Club. My fiance had an awesome idea last night. He is part of the OhioBimmers Club (BMW) and I bring the MINI to their meets. They said that bringing the MINI is perfectly fine since it is owned by BMW. My fiance suggested that all of us MINI folks should meet up with the Bimmer folks for a meet. There is a nice group of them that are very active in Dayton and we usually meet up with the Cincinnati group for bigger events. OhioBimmers is working on an every other week meet at The Root Beer Stande and my fiance suggested that any Dayton MINI folks that are interested should meet up with us.

Thoughts???

He also said that if we can get enough MINI people to actually want a Dayton, OH MINI Club and would actually come to the meets that he doesn't see why the moderator of Ohio Bimmers wouldn't create us a sub-forum on the OhioBimmers forum.

Morning!

It's nice to see I'm not the only one that didn't forget about our Dayton MINI Club.

As far as the Ohio Bimmer meets, I need to ask my fiance. I know a lot of them have been travelling due to work so the meets haven't been quite as frequent as they were. I'll be sure and ask him though. They are always up to something.

And nice link you posted! I think I may have check this group out....considering they are right in my back yard so to say. If you meet up with them before I do, would you mind posting your thoughts on here in regard to the group?

Again, I'll be sure and ask my fiance tonight when the next Bimmer meet is and see if he can find anything out for us.

Thanks!

I'll let you know. I might go to the meeting with the Queen City club this Saturday near Cincinnati. It looks like they have a nice joint drive coming up in September. I am also going to the meet next Tuesday at Danatos at page manor. I was told they have a lot of the older original minis but I would like to look at them also. Like you said it is so close why not go. I'm always open to pizza lol.
