Just completed my first two Mods!

I've had my 2009 MCS Cabrio since September 12th. I've taken her on several outings with both the HRMC and DCMM. Well the Mod bug bit me and I just completed Rita's first two mods. I installed a DDM Works Street cold air intake and replaced the stock restricted charge tube with an M-7 unrestricted one. The CAI install took about 20 minutes start to finish very easy no problems. The Charge pipe swap took a little longer due to the bolt that holds the muffler in place. If anyone is thinking of doing this mod let me give you some info that I did not have. The bolt is a T-25 Torx head you have to reach your hand up and unbolt it by feel. once that bolt is out the rest of the install takes 10 minutes tops.

These two mods made a world of difference not to mention you can really hear the turbo spool and the relief valve during shifting.

This is my first post so I wanted to share my mod story and say hello!

Welcome to NAM. I don't know much about R56s, but it sounds like it went well for you. I've heard that it's as hard to stop modding an R56 as it is an R53. Guess that MINIs in general beg to be modded.

Once the mod fever strikes, watch out there is no immunization that works. Good luck in the future.

Caution Marty, once the Mod Bug bites, there is no cure, as you've found out!
