Well, my fiance and I brought our new Mini home tonight.
Its a green Cooper with green top, a tan leather interior, a sunroof and a computerized dashboard that will take a couple of weeks to understand.
Unfortunately for one of us, ahem, the old fat one, it also has an automatic transmission (concession to the simple statement that its an automatic or nothing).
But its ours -- its got 63 miles on it and we love it already.
I look forward to being a part of the Mini group.
(and by the way, its my second Mini -- I had a 1275 Cooper S in 1969 -- I'm old. It was also green - mostly - and it remains one of my all time favorites).
Congrats on your new MINI! I have had 5,000+ miles of grins and giggles since June. The MINI is simply a blast to drive. Welcome and happy motoring!!!!

You will survive with the automatic, just forget that you can put in "D" and grab hold of the shift lever and pretend it's a manual. Works for me.
