I went to Brian Harris MINI in Baton Rouge to pick him up. My appointment was at 10am. They had a few nice little touches that kind of drummed up the excitement level. My MA, Adam, did a great job explaining all the buttons and whatnot.
I sped off with the intent of making a scenic journey down the Mississippi River along the River Road.
About 10 minutes into my journey, the local Sheriff pulled me over for not having an inspection sticker. I tried to explain to him that 10 minutes out of the dealer, I hadn't been able to drive the 100 miles to my Parish to be able to get the sticker.
I drove among the sugar cane fields, the plantation houses, and the sugar refineries for the next 90 minutes. It must be harvest time, the fields looked pretty ripe and a number of trucks were hauling in the cane.
At that point, I was hungry and cranky, so crossed a bridge and took the freeway back. I had lunch (and showed off my MINI), stopped in the office (and showed off my MINI), got my inspection sticker (hehe), and then went to my favorite bar (and showed off my MINI).
Whew, long day. ;)

I also got my Cooper from Brain Harris . They had a inspection sticker on my car ! You got punked ! Call Adam and ask for a sticker ! Congrats on your new Cooper and happy motoring on the bayou ! Have to watch your speed it is a quick car . Happy motoring . Also from the bayou area myself .
