Just bought a new MCS from Passport Mini in Alexandria, VA last month (4 miles on it) and did some visiting in the east then drove to Alaska. After I and my 2 19 yr old sons visited we finally hit the road for Anchorage from around Cleveland, OH and made it home in about 80 hours (3 days 8 hours). Always enjoy driving the AK Highway and this was no exception. My wife really wanted a new mini so we picked one for her that gave us an excuse to visit our son at Ft Myer, VA (old guard), there are no mini dealers in AK. I am really impressed by what you all know that the Mini is such a tight fun little car to drive. This comes from a guy who owns and drives almost every dry day a Porsche 996TT. There is no better word to describe my experience than 'impressed'.
What a great way to break in your new MINI, coast to coast with a vengeance. I am sure you guys must have a real close relationship now with the newest member of your family.

Congrats! very interesting story... few questions just out of curiosity
- how many miles on your MINI now?
- what were your MPGs during the whole trip?
- where will you take your MINI for service/warranty up in AK?
- when will you post pictures?
