Probably the ship already in port? that's why you don't see it? hope every tings goes well.
Normally they show the ships currently in port at the top. It finally showed up in the "Past 10 days" list - arrived the 11/10 and departed 11/11 as scheduled. Dealer says my wife's Clubman should be arriving around the 18th.
My MA called me today, to mention my Laser Blue should have been docked Friday (13th), in South Carolina. Something about the ship "Bosporous Highway"??? I cannot seem to locate this ship on any of the lists in this thread.
If my MA is correct, it should arrive here in Michigan some time next week . Of course, he also mentioned their low 2.9% financing on 2010 models! Imagine that.
Anyone here applying the clear bra protective covering? Just curious.
Hmm...
there is no update about the Grand Dahlia. I am not sure what happened to her. She is supposed to arrive at Panama Canal on 11/13 am. I am assuming she already through the Panama Canal and on the way to the port H, CA

I could be wrong, but a ship that looks like it very well could be the Tomar is taking its sweet time passing through the Gatun locks in the Panama Canal at this very moment. Image isn't clear enough for me to get a look at the ship's name yet but it certainly matches the pics of the Tomar, and this is approximately when it was supposed to be there, so...
Not that it effects me, way up here in Michigan - but, that first post/photo was blackness. Bummer.
But the second was very scenic. Your MINI's are enjoying quite the ride! Just like you will be, once they arrive. (tied that together quite nicely, don't you thing ).

Yes, very nice. The links are to the current camera images, not photos I took. Hence the blackness at 7:17 pm Panama time.
I did grab some pics after my original posting, though -- pics which convinced me it was indeed the Tomar I was watching. How's this?
At The Distribution Center! At The Distribution Center!
I just checked MINIUSA. My status was changed from "en route" to "at the distribution center" . How cool is that?!
VPM : for me, its been a little slow/boring lately - always seeing that "en route" post. HOWEVER, I am now starting to get just a little bit......JACKED!
Saturday.
Two A.M.
You WILL be there,....won't you?
What else have you got to do,.......sleep? Piffle. You and your wife will both be there, waving, sobbing, chuckling with glee. Do you have the Insurance papers for it? Fresh batteries in the camera? New shoes for that all important first ride?
Ha Ha.... yeah I really want to be there... but I am going to wait few more days to get our MINI and drive out. Hmm... wait a minute... actually I can't wait

well, it has been rainy and gross in Houston for the past 36 hours, but it's supposed to clear up this afternoon. When the environment will do the Mini justice, I'll snap a few photos.
Thanks all for the encouragement! For those waiting still, it's a great little ride.

Houston?! I have a good friend living in Seabrook. His daughter attends A&M. She has a small 1/38 (?) scale diecast model of a red MINI. She hopes someday to be a member here.
Anyway, small world, eh? For what it's worth, he ^ flew up here to Michigan, to catch the UofM/Ohio State game. I couldn't attend (Mich.State fan here). He and his wife, do not want their daughter driving such a small car around (Chicken Littles, scared of getting in an accident). I've already mentioned their safety aspects - but, like talking to a wall, with some people. I've had closer calls with my Silverado than the last 4 years with my Scion xB.
Half time is over, back to the Mich. State/Penn State game.....
I live in Kemah...Seabrook's just across "Clear" lake. I drive through it frequently. (And now in much greater style.) Since we're on the subject of geography, a brief story:
I went outside first thing this morning to ooh and aah, and my next door neighbor was out too and said nice things about the Mini. Fast forward to 9pm, I thought I heard a noise and went out to investigate (the occasional critter shows interest in our trash can). It's the neighbors, and they tell me they were admiring the car again, and that they went 40 miles across town to try a Mini. They filled out the test drive form, met the same MA I had, who recognized the address. He asked "Didn't your neighbor just buy one of these yesterday?" I kind of griped them out for making an 80 mile round trip when I'd have gladly let them try mine. They're thinking Clubman, though, so all's forgiven. Still, we are TAKING OVER my street...
