I'm in NorCal as well! Mine is headed to East Bay MINI in Pleasanton! Yeah, I'm assuming it'll take a week max. Then the dealer will keep it for a day or two?

Wow! 3.99 sounds like a GREAT deal!! I actually went ahead and tried to apply online but was not approved I'm assuming it has to do with my limited credit history (just graduated from college last year).
The 6.25 from MINI does not sound good. and i'm starting to doubt i'll even qualify for that low of a rate... hmm...

US Bank also has 3.99% - you may want to try them. I'm waiting until my Mini gets on land to start applying- I have a bunch of banks lined up. It's much better to do it in a short amount of time, so that they pull the same credit report and don't see the other pulls from the other banks. I plan to do my applications same day.
Mine is going to go to Mini of mountain view.

That's a great point! I'm going to speak to someone in person at US Bank/Bank America this week. I know MINI has recent college Grad Financing, but I don't think the rates will be particularly agreeable. I'm hoping to get something under 5%, but not sure how feasible that is...

We'll just have to wait and see
The couple of banks I talked to said the quoted rates were good for two weeks; keep that in mind regarding when you will be getting your car. Also, if you put more down, they are likely to give you a better rate or more favorable terms.

do you mind briefly telling us the process for BoA auto loan? i am also considering their loan since they seem to offer the best rates. I should be picking up my MINI in early November. I assume MINI financial won't be offering any special deals for 2010 models. So I am planning to go to the dealer with my own financing.
Does BoA send you a blank check and you just give it to the dealer?

It's so simple. You fill out the app online and get a callback with your approval. If your Mini dealer is in BOA's preferred dealer network, you're done. BOA sends an approval letter to you. You give it to the dealer. When it's time to pick up your car you fill out the contract at the dealer and all you are responsible for is your deposit. The bank funds the dealer directly. You don't get a check or bring a check. That is the way my deal went through cause Hassel Mini is a preferred dealer. I do not know how the transaction is carried out with a non-preferred dealer, but, I am sure they can tell you via the web chat they offer online. You can get the answers prior to you applying. Hope this helps
BTW if they are a preferred dealer you save the $200 app fee!

Took delivery yesterday. what a great little car. dark silver stock S with black trim everywhere, with the standard 16" black alloy wheels, all season tires, jcw stripes and full invisishield. stuck on a carbon fiber hood scoop last night and gonna put on the mudflaps tonight. saved quite a bit on labor putting those on myself :D

Hey! I got word from my dealer that the car arrived on Tuesday, which was much earlier than I expected!!! Due to work, I wasn't able to pick it up right away. I went in yesterday and finalized everything!!!
I received 3.99 APR for 60 months, which works out extremely well!!!!
and the car is AMAZING!!!!! even nicer than I expected!!!!
3.99 for 60 months are on all 2010 Mini Hardtops. it is on the miniusa website right now. talk to your dealer because offer ends Nov 2nd, but if your waiting for your car like I am you ll still be qualify.

yeah- I thought so as well! It's not a huge deal though. Which dealership did yours go to? Mine is going to Mini of Mountain View. I still haven't heard back from US Bank.

I'm absolutely loving my MINI!!! I've already put in about 1400 miles in just TWO weeks!!! But that's because I've taken some long trips down to Big Sur, etc. Driving down Highway 1 is an amazing experience!!!
