UAL_Kingpin's friend (Lynn), SoCal, disgusted with original dealer - decided not to buy the car;
ordered a 2010 Clubman on 9/27, took delivery 11/7 (Laser Blue/Black MCCS), photos in gallery http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...0&ppuser=69311
I thought about adding the cars some of our "guest" members received about the same time as the "official" Group 34 members - but, decided to stick with the original concept that UAL_Kingpin developed.
I hope you all are enjoying your new MINI as much as I am. Let's Motor!

How's everybody doing? It'll be a year since i got the car and i still enjoy every drive, even the times when it only involves home-work-home!

Good to know someone still remembers this thread. Hard to believe it was a year ago that we were all so excited about tracking our new MINI.
My wife and I are leaving this Friday for five weeks in England and Scotland - and we have a reservation on September 20th for a tour of the Oxford factory. That will be almost exactly a year after I took delivery of Twiggy. I was disappointed to learn they do not allow cameras, but it will be a great four hours!
My odometer just crossed the 10,000 mile mark last week. According to the manual, we are supposed to get an oil and filter change at least once a year, but last month MINI changed that so the service manager told me my first oil change would not be due for another 8,000 miles. I made a little noise (I'd driven 100 miles to the dealer) and they gave me a free oil change even though MINI no longer pays for an annual oil change.
I hope the rest of the Week 34ers have enjoyed their cars as much as I've enjoyed Twiggy. I just got my personalized license plates last week - TWIGGY of course!
Oh - by the way - what do you think about the new 4-door Countryman? Whats next - a stretch limo?
Hey good to hear from you too! I know a whole year. My MINI (Mrs Peel) is still going strong. Not sure about the new countryman, I am looking forward to the 2 seater, Roadster! I have been a big fan of the little cars my whole life. Especially the MG. Have a safe trip!

I can't believe it has been a year already. It is good to hear from you guys. Lynn's 2010 Clubman S has just hit the 7,000 mile. She absolutely loves her MINI. I have ridden in it several times, and I really like her Clubman. I like it so much that I will most likely be ordering a Clubman S next year.
So far Lynn has taken her MINI in for an oil change at the six month mark. She will be taking it in for another oil change at the 12 month mark. I told her to get her oil changed at every six months despite what the owners manual says.

have a safe trip and enjoy, rayratt! i'll be due for the annual oil change soon, hopefully free. i guess the countryman is for someone who must have a MINI but needs more room than a clubman. there are better cars out there, performance/ price/size wise.
neverfifty, yeah, the 2 seater will definitely improve on the hatchback's performance/ handling.
UAL, great decision on the clubman S!
