ok so I don't know if/where this video is. I know I saw it.

Many find the seatbelt end thing (not the buckle, that part on the belt you stick into the buckle) getting caught in the door as it doesn't retract the belt fast enough or at all.

There is a sliding thin bar thing on the belt. Just slide it up and it keeps the seatbelt end thing up and accessible and no longer allowing it to get caught in the door.

It's at the Vehicle Distribution Center in Jersey City, NJ. As in off the boat and on US soil. Now it needs to be inspected and cleaned up, fixed if something got broke, and there are some accessories that can get installed at the port (ie. driving lights).

Some have had their cars rolling off the VDC and to the dealer within a day, some...like me...had to wait a little over a week (I had driving lights installed).

Basically your tracking days are pretty much over and you have to rely on your dealer to tell you when you can do pickup.

You can go to 'review your order' in the Owner's Lounge as well to give you an idea of a delivery date. I used this to poke at my dealer to give me a good update.

Some dealers can also figure out if/when it was put on a truck and around when to expect it.

ok yeah next time I'll really read the post. I have no clue what that means. I stopped watching the cargo tracking when I was discharged. Unsure if that is a standard message or not.

In the future you may want to block some of that out. One can find your VIN based on that info. Not that big a deal on NAM but beyond NAM, who knows.

did you check the booking number? Instead of tracking your VIN as cargo ID enter the booking number of bill of lading number. You'll get the entire list of all VINs on the boat and their status. See if your vehicle is the only one, or one of only a few, with that status.

Wow... You guys have been busy posters!!!!

So, I'm sitting here watching the Faust pass through Cowes Harbor, set to pick up another load in Southampton today, at 3am BECAUSE I HAVE SOME SORT OF BOAT TRACKING SICKNESS!!!!

And I remember how negligent I have been.

I have a story, and more pics to take and get up. But for now... Here she is at pickup, BMWs in the background.... This is the San Antonio dealership, an hour and a half away, but the Austin dealership is being framed right now.

When I got there, she didn't have her bonnet stripes! I didn't realize they were just put in on 5 minutes. I thought I was gonna have to go back home without her!

Here's the second pic I ever took of her... sans her stripes!

Oh look! The image at 8:51:47 shows the Svitzermadeleine taking off to escort in the Faust, so if I just stay up 10 more minutes for the next ref.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

ok... I waited. I think I see the Faust in the distance at 9:01:47! (my wife worries about me)

So, Y2K, they put your stripes on at the dealership? I've been wondering when my car's stripes would actually be put on the car, and I was thinking that sport stripes are put on at the VDC, but wasn't really sure about bonnet stripes. Interesting!

Absolutely gorgeous car.

Dayam, where have you been?! We have been wondering where you were for several weeks now.

I love the color of your Clubman. Please post more pictures!

You said you have a story to tell. We are waiting to hear the story.

I am surprised you still like to stalk ships. I wish I could stalk my friend, Lynn's, ship, Turandot, as it sails through the Panama Canal tomorrow, 10/21. Too bad I'll be working at that time.

Well after three months (8/7-11/7), two dealers (Monrovia, South Bay), two orders (8/7, 9/27), and two model years (2009, 2010), Lynn finally took possession of her Clubman today, 11/7, from South Bay Mini in Torrance, CA.

The car arrived at Port Hueneme on 10/30 aboard the Turandot, and it got to the dealer on 11/4.

Here are a few quick pictures that Lynn took at the dealership. She will take more detailed pictures tomorrow.

Oh, by the way, her Clubman was getting a lot of looks as she drove home from the dealer. She is not use to her cars getting so much attention.

People on NAM did say Laser Blue will attract a lot of attention.

She finally got her deposit back from the first dealer.

She will take more pictures later. I will post them up as soon as I get them.

does she like having the third brake light the white? If not I'll do a brake light cover exchange and she can have my red one ;)

She doesn't even know she has white break lights. I only noticed them yesterday while looking at the pictures.

As a matter of fact, she has many features that she doesn't even know she has.

As promised, here are a few detailed pictures. I decided to have Lynn take pictures of things that are not often seen.

Here is a picture of the Park Distance Control feature integrated into the navigation system.

In this picture you can see four Park Distance Control sensors on the black portion of the lower bumper (two next to the license plate holder and one next to each exhaust pipe)

Here is a picture of one of the speakers to the 2010 Harman Kardon sound system.
