Hi everyone! I am the proud owner of a new 2009 Cooper!
It all came about kind of suddenly. I totaled my Bug the end of Nov. I had always thought my next car would be a MINI, I just wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly. At the time, I hadn’t seriously looked into them. So, I got on the MINI website and was amazed at all of the options/configurations. I found a dealer nearby to take a test drive. I then fell in love with an Oxy Blue in the showroom. Two days later, I made them an offer, they took it, and I got my MINI! It actually had some options I wouldn’t have selected. But now that I have it, I love them all! I can’t think of a thing about it I would change – yet. (Maybe some mods in the future?)
I found NAM a little while ago and like others, I am kind of addicted. The Forum’s are great, I am learning so much about my car. I’ve read some of the 1st gears that placed orders for their MINI’s. I’m so glad I didn’t have to wait, I feel a bit guilty. Although it’s got more options than I would have ordered, I also got a great deal, (quite a bit below MSRP).
I also read the entire blog on ‘Car washing for the non-OC’. I placed my order with ‘Detailers Paradise’ yesterday. I’ve never cared to do any more than an automatic carwash before. Now I can’t wait for my products to arrive!
Here is my "co-pilot" Chloe, getting set to go on her first ride. She loves it! She was getting tired of riding in the truck - she can climb right in the MINI, all by herself. I think she and Ted would get along great!
I am definitely an obsessed MINI owner!

Very nice..........congrats!!!!! Yes, I ordered both of my MINIs and went through that torture. Nowadays they are offering deals on MINIs in the showroom, so if that works out to your liking that's great!!!
I just LOVE these stories with happy endings! Chloe looks great in that 02 Blue MINI (just like ted, I might add)! In fact, Chloe looks a lot like ted! I too ordered from DP (and can't wait for the snow and crud to be gone so I can wash tedscar again)!
I have read the story of Ted and was so surprised how much alike Chloe and her look! It sounds like they may have very similar personalities too. Plus, they have the same car! I think we are the 'west coast' version!
There was a break in the rain yesterday, (that's our winter weather), so we went for a ride. I was able to open the moon roof for the first time! It was great. The only problem was that we went through some puddles and mud. 'Beau' is dirty for the first time! But, my DP products are supposed to be here this week. I'm planning to get to work on cleaning next weekend.
NAM has been so much fun - everyone is so friendly and helpful.
