Long time member, 1st time poster

Hi all. Signed up when I first got my Mini S Convertible in 2006. I've read a number of threads throughout the years looking for answers and suggested, but never needed to post.

Recently our love affair with the Mini was wearing off. My wife won't drive it in bad weather and the kids are growing out of the rear seat space quickly. After a little time looking for a replacement (either a G37X or A5), I've realized we're not in the position financially to buy a new car.

So, I'm trying to renew my Mini love. That will entail addressing some lighting issues, hence my first post for info (in the appropriate area). But I figured my first official post ought to be here.

Thanks for all the info over the years. Hopefully I'll get more active and be able to supply info myself!

The Clubman didn't really come up. First probably is that I'd like to move to all wheel drive. Second, the backseats aren't a whole lot bigger, though it would give us some breathing room. Finally, I've never been a big fan of turbos (much prefer the supercharged S). So while it is a good bit more affordable than the others we considered, it doesn't really solve the issues.

Then get ready for the SAV AWD MINI...based on the X3 frame...but I believe the engine is supposed to be a turbo diesel.
