MINI chick from D.C.

Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m going to pick up my new 09' mini in two days . Its metallic blue with white top and bonnet stripes (spoiler, white rims, lowering springs, exhaust and intake are coming soon). I thought this forum would be a good way to get into the mini community and find mini meets, so hi everyone and could you let me know some important abbreviations so I know what people are saying, Thanks!

Hey, Lisa. Welcome to NAM ! And congrats on your new MINI and your good taste in automobiles.

Check out the DC Metro MINI club forum here on NAM, join the best MINI club in the world, and we'll see you out in some local events (assuming I make some again).

And hey, drive carefully on those interstates and street in and around DC. They're crazy dangerous. I don't want to see your name on any of the claims I handle (bodily injury claim adjuster for State Farm).

Happy Motoring !

SHAMELESS PLUG!!!! Just kidding.

But I'd agree with the "be careful" part! D.C. is probably one of the best spots for MINIs anyway, considering the traffic and roads. And the D.C. MetroMINIs always seem to have SUCH a good turn out at events. Welcome to NAM Lisa...get ready to begin your OCMD - Obsessive Compulsive MINI Disorder....

Where did you buy your car from? MoS(MINI of Sterling), MoT(MINI of Tate) or MoA(MINI of Annapolis)? Also it is a MC(MINI Cooper) or MCS or JCW?

Congrats!!

Welcome to NAM, the MINIverse and everything quirky and obsessive in between. I've heard good things about DC Metro so definitely check it out.

Welcome, Lisa! Congrats on joining the wonder world of MINI Obsession! Here is a good place to learn some of the abbreviations frequently used on NAM. You'll pick others up as you go.

BTW, I'm surprised no one said this so I will: When you get your MINI, you must post pics for us.

Welcome!

I'll vouch for DCMM as well, though I haven't been terribly active lately. It is a great group, and the membership has some nice discounts attached to it as well!

Happy motoring!

Congrats and welcome, Lisa.

Enjoy the delivery experience tomorrow. It's an awful lot of fun. And remember two things - we need pics on here, and make sure to wave.

Happy Motoring - Chuck
