I have a 2004 Cooper S JCW. I'am experiencing an intermitten hesitation problem on excelleration. After three trips to the dealer finally one mech has said he now has duplicated the problem. but still can't quite trace it down and has just started to replace some cthings to see if thats it!!! still having the same problem.!@#$?%! I also have problems with the DSC sometimes coming on even though I've disenguaged it!!Any idea where its located so I can turn it off permanently?? Just to see if this will help out my problem with it coming back on??
The sensation you experience is not truly a problem. This is one of the "benefits" of DSC. This and some other "benefits," are the reason mine remains turned off. You can obtain and install a circuit board (i.e., Ian's) to achieve this. Of course, my post is likely to result in many others describing what a fool I am to not use the best safety invention since sliced bread. I'm not interested in this baloney and you don't have to be either. Turn the silly thing off.
The DSC module is part of the ABS brake control module so it's not possible to completely remove it. Hitting the DSC switch to light the warning triangle should keep it from operating.
