New to NAM. MCS w/JCW or MCS add JCW?

Hi,
I've been following the mini for some time and have decided its time to buy. Looking for a 2006 MCS stick. My question concerns the JCW options:
Can I buy a 2006 and equip with JCW performance and aero kit via BMW dealer or another source?
Or should I only buy a MCS with the JCW already installed?
I want to maintain warranty etc.

Have found a few with JCW in a reasonable distance LA area (I'm in SF Bay Area). Only driven the 07 MCS. That is another option but I actually like the interior or the 06 better than 07.

Advice appreciated.
Thanks,

It'll be cheaper to buy a used MCS with the JCW Engine Tuning Kit, because it's already taken a depreciation hit. Having a dealer install this kit will probably cost around $6K. If you find a used 2006 with the JCW Package (factory option) you'll get the JCW Brake Kit also.

You might also still find a new 2006 JCW on dealer lot somewhere.

I love mine.

Thank for the welcomes. I'm looking at only JCWs now. Been tracking a half dozen or so. Didn't realise that factory installed had brake upgrade and dealer installed would not; thanks for heads up. How can I tell (aside from ask) if the JCW kit was factory or dealer installed?

I just spoke to a dealer who said that none of his JCW HK equiped cars had an AUX in for an MPE3/iPod. I'll have to do some digging, maybe someone in audio areas can answer that..or someone reading this. Do all 06 minis have aux in for MP3/iPod? An option cause it to be added?

Thanks. Hoping to buy in the next few weeks.

The aux is a 20 minute self install and $75 worth of parts (I think) - no reason to buy one car over another IMHO. Some late 2006 cars (cabrios for sure) came with the aux - prior to that it was a dealer or self installed option. And, again, installation is a NO BRAINER.

I have now been a mini owner for 2 weeks. I bought Jim's mini. Great car. BRG, JCW, iPod hookup etc. In its two weeks now and managed to put on 2k miles. Thanks for suggestions and feedback I received in my search. And thanks to Jim for making this a straightforward purchase. Hope to see some of you at Mini events.
Will post pictrues in gallery at a later date.

Thanks.
