Anyone know of any campsites close to the event/Copper?

We were thinkning of camping as well, if you are tent camping there are appears to be a lot of sites around Dillon resevoir. You can't make online reservations for tent sites only for RV sites. So it's first come first server from what we can tell. Dillon/Silverthorne is reallyonly like a 10-15 minute drive from Cooper. Hope that helps some.

Agreed.

Check out the closest town to Copper...

www.TownofFrisco.com and there are links there to the Dillon Reservoir camping information, mentioned above. The other towns basically connected there are Silverthorne and Dillon, all within 10 miles of Copper. While this is not rural, remember that much of Colorado is vertical and other than sheep etc. there is not much population between certain locales.

Also try www.campcolorado.com and www.wildernet.com and www.aroundcolorado.com

As for general logistics, nothing beats www.Colorado.com

See you at Copper. Be SURE to RSVP for both the Friday and Saturday dinners, or you will miss the big events, the freebies, and the fun...

We had trouble finding a place for our RV couple of weeks ago, ended up staying at Leadville, seemed to be several places still available there.

Finding a place to pitch a tent shouldn't be a problem. It's that hot shower which might be illusive. I just remembered that Copper has a really nice spa/health club, we checked it out a couple ski season ago, which does have hot water. I'll probably opt for a workout and shower there, if it's going to be a PITA to find one at a campground...

Mini/Aztec

It's a good thing that Mini and the makers of those ugly SUVs Aztecs never combined forces. Though, it would be useful for you in the campgrounds this weekends
