Are you kidding me?

Let me understand this:
  • You have 40 raffle tix that someone has paid for
  • You want to donate them to MITM
  • You want us to either give them away or raffle the raffle tickets
  • You do or don't want money for them?
  • One of our attendees has the chance to win the Ford?
Yippee! I accept. Pls PM me the details, then I will POST: "Win a Ford GT at MITM". Of course, I will need to post a picture and have further information to answer questions with...

raffle tickets

oops! sorry about that, i have 50 tickets (it was cheaper to buy 100 tickets for $100.00 than 2 blocs of 40 for $50.00 each), i am keeping the other 50 for myself. the raffle is held by ronald-mcdonald house and the drawing is going to be on september 23, 2006. the car was completed in june 2005 and is #1308 of about 4000 hand built by the Ford Motor Company, has a $4,000 sound system and the MSRP is $152,444.95. i had a really good picture on a flyer but one of the guys from work hijacked it. if you go to www.ronald-mcdonaldhouse.com and click on the car giveaway icon there are about 7 photos on it. yes they are paid for, the only hang up is the snail mail, they told me it would take about 2 weeks which is awfully close to the mitm but they should be here before then. yes i am donating them to mitm, you don't have to pay for them and you can do as you please with them. everyone who has a ticket has a chance to win the car but it should be understood that there are probably thousands of other tickets out there and nobody should expect to win the car.

i love my MCS but if i ever won a car like that it would probably sit in the garage because i'd be afraid to drive it and get a scratch on it or something hehe.

I accept on behalf of MITM

and we will give them away, not sell them.

Jim, can you edit the title of this thread to "Ford GT40 Raffle at MITM" just for effect?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Ford GT40 Raffle at MITM!

(This thread was originally part of the MINI5280 club forum. The applicable posts have been moved here for the convenience of MITM readers.)

Thankyou Jim for your generosity! Here's a photo of the chili red GT40 from the Ronald McDonald House Charities website.

Jonathan, I have an idea. Everyone who has a MITM hat should get a ticket.
Well, I thought it was a good idea.

Can I have a ticket? Please

If I would happen to win or receive a ticket and then happen to win the car I would sell it back to Ford. Take the money to my hometown Mini Dealership and kindly buy myself my wife and my kids each a new Mini. Of course I would have an "S"

How about a drawing for the tickets with all the registered participants with the restriction of one per family? Seems fair to me.
