CravenSpeed needs a ride!

Yes, our friends from CravenSpeed in Tigard, OR are coming to MITM to support you and the MINI Community!! Problem is...working as hard as they are, time is short. So they are flying (egad!) and not driving the MINIs...but....we need your help!

Jason Misko and Kellen Russell are arriving at DIA Denver Inconvenient Airport on Thursday, August 10th at about 5:30 pm on UAL. Being that some of us will already be up at MITM (drunk and disorderly - just kidding) we are now appealing to the local MINI community for...a RIDE!

Folks, we just don't want them to take a bus. Nor do they deserve to rent a Chevy Cavalier. (Well, if Richard Lin did that, he would return it with a nice set of Counterfeit Cooper stripes on the hood...). Anyway, you get the point.

WE NEED SOMEONE TO PICK THEM UP AND DELIVER THEM TO MITM....we'll worry about how to get them home, later.

CAN YOU HELP?

WOULD YOU DO THAT FOR US?

If so, please post here. Thanks, and you are doing the community a favor...

Jonathan

Jason and Kellen are generously offering...

A free sixer of your choice to sweeten the pot. Sounds good doesn't it? Refreshing as well. You might want it after a drive through the mountains...but certainly not before. Niether one of us has robbed anyone...recently. Seriously, we can't wait to get to Copper Mountain! We will be traveling ALAP (as light as possible)! TAKE US WITH YOU, C'mon you know you want to.

Thanks,
KeLLen and Jason

Guys must be young bucks...

I have not heard the term 'sixer' for a few decades since I was a student....

What a great idea! We accept!!

Do you think that Aaron would OK sending a driver out for them...in a MINI...to pick up and deliver?

Heck, I have never even asked for a loaner car.....

Would you ask him about that? Maybe the car wash guy???

You never know what kind of people you will meet.

Be carful. I can see it now someone does the good deed and shows up at DIA. Then not thinking holds up a sign with CRAVEN SPEED? on it. You could meet the local men in blue. Or just the odd traveling drug addict.

I would give you guys a ride but think I have enough weight.

Aaron, come on you can swing a loaner. Show the true heart of our favorite dealer Ralph Schomp. Can you feel your arm twisting?

Thanks

Jason and I appreciate all of the support you guys are offering. We hope we can make this work out. We wish we could bring the Cravenspeed Mini, but it is just not in the cards.

We will be going through Denver late Thursday night. We could drive by and honk! Just kidding. If need be, and they dont mind the wait, and no one else is gracious enough to get them, we will be more than happy to pick them up. (for a pulley...kidding again...well...my husbands not...hahaha)

Craven Speed....

Sounds like something out of the Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck Dictionary:

"Mayonnaise" - Mayonnaise a lot of weeds down there by the lake. Mayonnaise.

"Annuity" - Annuity was gonna say before he ever opened his mouth. Annuity.

"CravenSpeed" - Boy, ever since I went on the wagon I been CravenSpeed. CravenSpeed.

Foxworthy

If you've ever cut your lawn and found a MINI...you might be a redneck.

Keep on keepin on...

I'd be happy to give ya a ride up for a nice bottle of Red Merlot/Cab. (or a Shortshifter.. hee, hee..) I live near DIA as it is.

The only thing is, I can pick you up in WhiteLightning and we can find a way to get you guys and all your gear in there, um, comfortably

OR.... I'll pick you up in the New Durango, depending on how much gear you've got, may be more comfy, but not as much of a thrill-ride

PM me your info and cell #. I get off work Thurs about 4 and can make it there about 5:00. I'm not staying up there Thur night, so will head back down to Denver

Siobhan

You give them the ride, I will give you the bottle

Siobhan, if you can do this, I will also give you cash for gas. NO problem.

I am sure that this will be a thrill for them. Talk about the other fun stuff you do on the bike, jumping off perfectly good airplanes, skiing after dark, etc. They will have a blast.

PM me if this is a problem, otherwise, you are it.

Thanks,

JPS

Happy to do so It's why I have so many bikes and cars and not enough room to put 'em all

Already scheduled for pick up. Anyone else going to be there then? We've got space for at least 8 others in the rig j/k

Lynn, please send Siobhan the logistics

and PM her, so she can share her cell with these guys. Have them call her when they are on the ground, pick a door number on the E or W side of the terminal. They just walk out, she picks up, off they go.

Something tells me the won't mind, when it is all said and done, having been scrunched up in the back of a MINI with Siobhan.

I am going to post the Halloween pics just to prove it, Twiggy.
