So I've got my new speakers, and I've seen the post with the pictures of how to remove the door panel on a 2003 cooper S but mine doesn't seem to be like the picture. I also saw the post where the fellow describes how his panel didn't lift up, but instead comes straight out. Mine is the latter. The clips along the top of the door are as in the picture.

The picture and article describe 3 screws that can be seen and another one behind the reflector. I found the one behind the reflector but there are only an additional 2 screws that are obvious. The panel is free except for the spot at the rear end of the arm rest where there is suppose to be a screw. I can't see a screw but I've reefed on the panel pretty hard and there doesn't seem to be a clip that's holding it either. What's the deal .....any body know?

Thanks for the info, rkw. Was very helpful in removing my door panel to fix my handle that was hanging up on me. These BMW Mini's have it where you can pull the handle twice to open the door, but it was taking three, four, five times for the door to unlock and open. The pictures helped me heaps!
