Hankook vs Goodyear

Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212 $95 each 200 tread 22 pounds Y speed rated (sold out at edgeracing.com)
As an overall tire for wet or dry, good handling/ ride quality, good tread wear for Max Performance Summer tire F1 GS-D3 is hard to beat and it's in stock.
For track or autocross, no wet weather, lower budget, no commuting, and for less road comfort/noise then the Z212 is fine.

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 does it better (esp the wet traction), wears a bit longer but costs more.
See another tread about the RE-01 coming out next month in some new sizes at least for 15" rims, check again for 17" rims. Try talking to Alex@tirerack.com

Both tires can do these things (1 or 2 track days) so you're fine.

I think I'm going to go with the Goodyear since there has been so much good feedback concerning this tire.

i'm on my second set of F1's. 40k on first set. 20k and 5 track days so far on second set. Great tire for daily driving good grip wet or dry. On the track they wear well, the edges have worn out but the center still has good even tread left. I have diffently pushed these to the limits and they held up well on the track. I run group 3 with NASA and driv very aggressive. I'm now looking for a set of track day wheels/tires since I'm now driving beyond the tire limits.
