Hot Glue

Has anyone had a problem with the glue that is used to hold the bonnit together getting hot and running out? Mine is dripping all over the place including running down the fender flair on the passanger side. I am having a hard time getting it to come off the plastic. Does anyone know a trick to cleaning it off.
