You can use Hydro wet or dry. Keep in mind that it's very concentrated for wet use (so the rinse water remaining on the car dilutes it) - so use it sparingly when dry, and only on a CLEAN car.

Slick has more lifting properties to remove dust, bugs, etc. as a quick detailer. Hydro has longer lasting shine and more sealing properties than Slick.

I use Slick as my daily (or every couple of days) QD, and use Hydro as part of the dry cycle after every wash. That works well for me and keeps my Epic shine and protection lasting a long, long time. But others use Hydro dry as a QD with good results - just don't expect it to lift dust and stuff as well as Slick can.
