Well I'm not OG, nor do I play him on TV, but I can answer this question with a link to the DP site and their PDF on this very topic.

In general I use the white pad and
Swirl, but for the harder paint of our Ford I switched to
Swirl and the orange pad. BTW I have found for light swirls that an orange pad and
Amigo does really well at removing - not just masking the swirls.
