I use QEW anytime I don't have access to a water spigot. It works if you are careful, but it has GREAT potential to scratch your finish.
I use the two or three bucket wash method-- that is soap the paint, and thoroughly rinse/clean the mitt, then reapply QEW from the soap bucket again, and work my way around the car.
QEW is also handy if you know you're going to buff the car with a PC as any scratches induced will be removed by buffing.
QEW is much like quick detailing a car but being more liberal with the water/detailer. Best not to use on heavily soiled cars.
