Just in case anyone has an
Anderson's General Store near them - found a Fireman's type nozzle there for only
$10.
This is the Griot's one:

It's not anodized red (like tbe one that Griot's sells for $80), nor does it have a separate water flow valve ($100 at Griot's), but it is very smooth-swivelling, has a nice, crisp and widely-variable flow pattern and, UNLIKE the one pictured above, is
completely covered in rubber from end-to-end. After using S-Curves' Fireman's nozzle I was hooked, and factoring in the way that I tend to break hose nozzles using triggers in about 3 months, I figured this was a good investment.
I believe that Sears carries a competing product that's more expensive than the Anderson's model, but which is still a fraction of the price as the Griot's model, FYI.
