removing super glue from painted wheels?

I mounted my new tires (myself) yesterday, and used stick on weights to balance them. In my infinite wisdom, I applied some super glue around the weights to keep them from coming off. I did two of them whilst the wheels were facing down and didn't realize that the glue was running out onto the face of the wheel. I washed the car today & found the glue. Of course there's break dust in the mess, to boot.
I tried rubbing compound & alcohol without success. I'm afraid that acetone (& related cleaners like Goof-Off) will remove the finish of my beloved Rewinds.
Suggestions much appreciated!
