Ants in Mini

So I picked up my car about 9 days ago(pictures will be in my gallery soon) and it has been raining for the past 2 weeks straight it seems like, so I've been keeping my car parked in the garage. Three days ago I was taking it out of garage, I open the driver's side door and see a couple of ants on the rubber padding around the door frame, weird I thought. It seems like they were taking refuge from the rain in the garage and decided to jump in the Mini. When I took a closer look there were actually more like a couple hundred and they were in the rubber padding around the door frame . Why would ants like to live in a Mini I thought, well the answer is they were eating excess wax/polish left on the edges of the door. Now there's an invasion in there and I cleaned off all the wax I could see, but the ants have probably made a colony by now somewhere in there and my MA told me to give it a few days after the wax is cleaned off and check for ants, but it sounds like they might have to take it apart to get it really checked. Anyone have any recommendations of dealing with ants? I'll probably just take it in without doing anything other than keeping it clean but any other tips are appreciated.
